About The Day: 

This special event will bring together Indigenous leaders, Member States, United Nations entities, civil society organizations, youth representatives, and partners to recognize the leadership, resilience, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous women and girls across generations and across the globe.

More importantly, this first commemoration is an opportunity to renew our collective commitment to advancing the rights of Indigenous women and girls, amplifying their voices, and ensuring their full, equal, and meaningful participation in decision-making at all levels.
