In 2025, Right to Learn Afghanistan and its chapters across the country united for a National Red Pashmina Walk—a powerful, coast-to-coast demonstration of solidarity.
Chapters and supporting groups hosted walks in their communities, standing together in support of education and empowerment.
The Red Pashmina Walk began in Peterborough, Ontario, in 2011 as a way to raise awareness, funds, and support for Afghan women’s education. Participants sign up for free, don their red pashmina scarves, and walk through their cities—raising pledges, making donations, and spreading awareness along the way. Want to LEARN MORE – Brief Video
